OVERVIEW

The Guaranteed Underwriting System (GUS) course is designed to help lender employees become familiar with the structure of GUS and to efficiently navigate through the system. The course covers the automated underwriting processing steps in GUS and not the full range of loan operations covered by the Guaranteed Loan System. This course is not intended to replace the Rural Development Instructions and Administrative Notices, which are the official sources of policy and program information for Guaranteed Rural Development Loan Programs.

The course consists of five lessons and will take approximately two hours to complete.

The following animation describes each navigation button and its use as well as the playback controls and how they operate throughout the course. To start the animation click the “Play” button on the control box. To “Replay” or “Pause” the animation click the appropriate control box button.
